Today I have 2 months with problem less back-ups. Of course not with the Superloader 3. I’ve been with Quantum techsupport back and forth for 8 months, trying to have a reliable tape loader.
I changed 3 new SCSI cards, Tapes (made by Quantum), I even changed the CPU and the mother board. My back-ups were failing constantly after a month (more or less). What a nightmare…
After I changed 6 Superloaders (refurbished ones, they never replace with new), we got our money back and finally we changed for something better (I hope) IBM TS3100 Tape Library. LTO3/24 tapes.
